Established in 1978 CCCS is a non-profit organization that offers a variety of programs to serve the consumer during times of financial distress. CCCS is a member of the National Foundation for Consumer Credit. We are supported by contributions from banks, consumer finance companies, credit unions, businesses, and other community minded companies and individuals. Services include: Budget Counseling, Debt Management Program, Education Programs, First Time Homebuyers Program, Mortagage Counseling, Utility Repayment Plan. To meet with a counselor call us and an application will be mailed to you.

FOOD/MEAL SERVICES

Bloomsburg Food Cupboard

Supported by the Bloomsburg Ministerium

Primary work-food pantry to the poor of the area. Open twice a week at 329 Center Street, Bloomsburg. Sundays 9:15 until 10:15 AM, Tuesdays 12:30 until 2:30 PM. The Food Cupboard can be reached directly at (570) 387-2607 on days that it is open (Sunday and Tuesday) or questions can be directed to the church office at (570) 784-0801.

GRIEF

Grief Support Group

Bethany United Methodist Church, at the corner of Summerhill Ave & Pine Sts Berwick, PA. We provide support for anyone who is grieving the loss of a loved one and desires to work toward healing. Joan has received National Professional Certification as a Bereavement Facilitator with the American Academy of Bereavement. Support group meets weekly, Mondays at 6:30 P.M. Empty Arms Support Group
Womens Resource Center at Lobby of Children’s Pavilion at Geisinger Medical Center. We provide support for those who have experienced a loss through early miscarriages to the first year of life. 1st Tuesday of the month 7:30 P.M. – 9:30 P.M. Also meets 3rd Monday of each month at Lewisburg evangelical Community Health Center, Staples Plaza, Lewisburg, PA, 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. St. Columba Catholic Church Health Ministry

Career Link
351 Tenny Street, Bloomsburg, PA 17815. Career Link is a federally funded program providing employment opportunities. We prepare unskilled youth and adults for jobs in the local labor market. We help those eligible individuals who have barriers to employment who wish to overcome the road blocks and obtain full-time employment. LUPUS

Lupus Support Group

For those who have lupus, who cares for someone with lupus and/or who would like to learn more about the disease. Group meets the second Tuesday of the following months: September, November, January, March and May. Meets at 6:00 pm at the Geisinger Medical Center, Foss Clinic, 7th floor waiting area. Meetings are automatically canceled if it snows.

MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS

Multiple Sclerosis Support Group
Multiple Sclerosis Support Group – A variety of educational programs are offered each year to provide information concerning the medical, psychological and social aspects of MS as well as other related information. Sessions are given in workshop style and cover such topics as current search, symptom management, sexuality and communication skills.
